ALTHOUGH IT SAYS TRIP, PLEASE NOTE, THIS INFO AND REGISTRATION IS FOR DAY CAMP, NOT A TRIP.
Welcome to Family Dive Club’s Summer Camp Registration!
We know you have many options when it comes to summer camps, and we’re thrilled you’re considering Family Dive Club to enrich your child’s summer experience. Our mission is to provide fun, active, and engaging programs where campers build skills, knowledge, and confidence that last long after the week is over.
Our weeklong scuba camps are open to students ages 12–17. During the program, campers will have the opportunity to work toward a PADI Open Water
Camps are held at Blue Water Park — Pelham, AL
PADI® Open Water Diver is the first step into the world of scuba certification. In this course, a highly trained Family Dive Club PADI Instructor will introduce you to scuba diving in a relaxed, supportive learning environment.
By the end of the course, you’ll have the skills and knowledge to dive confidently—whether close to home or around the world—and begin your journey as an ambassador for the underwater environment.
Instruction for this course is led by Dina Marble and Kaeylen Warden

The fun part about this course is…well, pretty much all of it. Learning to dive is an unforgettable experience. You’ll breathe underwater for the first time (a moment you’ll remember forever) and begin building the skills you need to become a certified diver.
Throughout the course, you’ll complete at least five pool dives and four open water dives, all under the guidance and supervision of your Family Dive Club Instructor. It’s hands-on, confidence-building, and an adventure from start to finish.
Knowledge Development
Classroom (or eLearning) time to understand the basics of dive theory, safety concepts, and how scuba equipment works.
Confined Water Dives
Practice and master required scuba skills in a controlled, shallow environment to prepare for Open Water.
Open Water Certification Dives
Apply your new skills in a real diving environment while exploring underwater and completing the certification requirements.
In the PADI Open Water Diver course, you’ll learn to use basic scuba gear and standard accessories. Campers are required to bring their own mask, snorkel, fins, and dive booties. We will provide all remaining equipment. This equipment can be purchased directly from us. You can either receive your equipment from us before camp or have it waiting for you at camp.
If you have questions about purchasing mask, snorkel, or fin sets, please feel free to contact us at 205-249-2267—we’re happy to help. We will have a camp orientation later in the spring and will discuss equipment then. Don't hesitate to reach out to us earlier if you would like.
